- Open ‘Secret Garden’ (small walled garden) on more regular basis. Good volunteer potential.
- Hayes Model Aero Club – promote club events. Aerial photography.
- Photographic competition (possibly with Thames 21). Exhibit photos in park.
- Seek students or enthusiast to make a short video.
- Build on London Open House weekend – piggy-back a small historical exhibition or other event. Historic motorcycles usually displayed also.
- Liaise with St. Dunstan’s Church on [D5] other events. Co-ordinate opening of church with ‘Secret Garden’ where possible and promote each other.
- Hold park history event – memories/photographs from local people and older history. Costumed characters?
- Play about Mary Cole, the 5th Countess of Berkeley, by Sylvia Taylor, as held a few years ago. (Consider theatrical group that performed at Hallowe’en 2012).
- Advise local amateur organisations how they might be able to use the park, e.g. Uxbridge Choral Soc.
- More volunteer activity in woods (clearing undergrowth), also around river and clearing undergrowth from Ha-Ha.
- More guided walks, building on those led by Green Spaces. Volunteers to lead historical walks etc could be trained up.
- Traffic free walking and/or cycling route linking Cranford, Minet and Lake Farm Country Parks, via canal towpath. (Hayes Muslim Centre had grant for bikes).
- Good leisure cycling paths exist within park. Consider linking to form a loop.
- Work with ‘Explore Hayes’ initiative to encourage school visits.
- Consider re-establishing Cranford Park Fete in 2014 (Combine with Item 5 ?)
- Develop Educational Programme and Pack for students with London Wildlife Trust.
- Research the civic opening of the park and consider re-enacting it (future-binding).
